ALICE Receptionist Client First Time Configuration
The following prerequisites are required before configuring the ARC The ALICE-specific softphone client installed on the employee's PC, also known as the ALICE Receptionist Client. for the first time.

ARC software installation has been completed successfully. View the ARC installation section for steps on how to complete this process.

At least one ARD
The ALICE interface that appears on the ALICE Kiosk in your Lobby, also known as the ALICE Receptionist Directory has been installed and configured within your organization.

Ensure the PC that the ARC will be configured on has an active network connection.

On the PC that the ARC will be installed, open the following URL: https://secure.counterpath.com/
This URL establishes a secure connection to CounterPath.

Audio input (microphone) and output (speakers / headphones) are recommended for the best ARC experience.
For the best audio quality, we recommend headphones for ARC users. Echo-canceling speakerphones are another option that can help maintain a high level of audio quality. -
A web camera is recommended so the visitor and employee can see each other when a call is connected.
Once all prerequisites have been met, launch the ARC either from the desktop shortcut or the Start menu.

The first time the ARC is launched, the ALICE Receptionist License Key must be entered. This is the same key as the ARD's license key. ALICE Portal users can find this key on the Directories tab in the Directory Management section of the ALICE Portal.
Once a valid license is entered, the ARC Configuration General Settings Tab will open.
